A Very Brekken Christmas

Last Sunday we had our Brekken Christmas in Casselton with the Brekken side of the family.  We had a great day and Santa even came to visit!  It was so fun celebrating and enjoying Adlee's first Christmas!

We have been having so much family fun lately!  Last weekend we had a ginger bread house competition, boys v. girls.  Guess who won?  Yes, of course the MAUCH GIRLS!

Everyone in our house has been sick lately...plus Adlee is teething!  She jumped herself to sleep one day while we were getting ready for church!

Once again we attempted to take family pictures this year - they turned out great!  It was a pretty cold day but Mason and Adlee were such troopers!

We are such a lucky and blessed little family!  SO MUCH to be thankful for!

 Mason is just so in love with his baby sister...they are SO CUTE together.  They haven't been in a fight yet! (knock on wood!)

Ms. A had her 6 month check a couple weeks ago...she weighs 18 lbs 12 oz (90th percentile) and is in the 75 percentile for height! She loves squash, oatmeal and rice...but HATES green beans and peas.  She also loves bananas and apples!

Little Miss Adlee Beth (a.k.a. Sugar plum, Miss A, Ad-low, little girly, sugar baby, Addy) -
  You are now 6 months old!  You have been such a blessing to our family and we are so thankful that you were given to us.  You helped us realize that after everything we had gone through, it was all going to be okay.  Your name means "God is Just" - and we really feel like you were given to us for a reason.
About once a week Mommy and Daddy will hear eachother say "Adlee just makes everything better."  We can just look at you and you will give us a big, gummy smile...the BEST smile.  You are an everyday reminder that miracles can (and do!) happen!

We started to give you oatmeal and rice cereal around 5 months old...and you like it quite a bit!  You can never get enough...Mommy feels like she is feeding you all the time!  You love playing with your toys and banging them on everything you can find.
We love how you giggle so hard at your big brother.  We can already tell that you will be great friends...you stare in awe of him and it makes mommy and daddy feel so good.  We are so thankful to have you and your big brother!

We love you so much, Adlee.  You will never know, dear, how much we love you.
